    What is a Smoking Pipe?

Smoking pipes are one of the oldest and simplest smoking tools, and at Eaglebongs we offer one of the largest collections of weed pipes to choose from. Smoking pipes have been used by many cultures around the world for thousands of years, due to their effectiveness and ease of use. Most pipes are handheld, come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, and usually consist of a mouthpiece, a stem, and a bowl. Different weed pipes offer different properties and benefits, depending on their style and on the materials used. Some smokers may prefer a specific pipe, because of the way the pipe looks or feels. Whereas other smokers may be more interested in performance, durability, and how easily the pipe can be cleaned and maintained

    FAQ Smoking Pipes

How to use a smoking pipe?

What is the best way to use a smoking pipe? To use a smoking pipe, all you need to do is grind your herbs, load them in the bowl at the end of the smoking pipe, light the herbs with your lighter or torch and inhale the smoke. For more detailed instructions, see below.

Load Your Materials: Break up your dry herb or tobacco into a small bundle, you can use a herb grinder which makes it easier. You want the material to be cut up or ground. This allows plenty of space for airflow, which is essential for proper combustion. Pack the material loosely into the bowl of your pipe. Don’t press too hard! Too much compacting can clog the bowl.

Light It and Carb It: If your pipe includes a carburetor, it will be a small hole on the side of the bowl. Place your finger or thumb to cover this hole before lighting. Take your lighter, match, or wick, and place the flame to the herb while holding the carburetor closed. Begin to inhale.

Inhale and Enjoy: Once the material in the bowl is burning, you can inhale on the mouthpiece to take a puff from your pipe. To clear the chamber of smoke, uncover the carburetor hole and inhale.

How to clean a smoking pipe?

Smoking can be a bit of a dirty business, especially for your pipe. It’s essential that you routinely clean out your pipe to remove the buildup of resins, tars, and moisture that results from combustion. No matter what sort of pipe you have, you’ll need to clean it. But depending on the material of your pipe, the methods can differ a bit.

Generally, there are two methods of cleaning your pipe:

Solvents: One of the most effective ways to clean your pipe is with a solvent. The most commonly employed is isopropyl rubbing alcohol or a glassware cleaning solution. You can also use hot (near boiling) water. You can either submerse your pipe in the solvent, or pour it into the pipe during cleaning. This works great for glass, metal, stone, or ceramic pipes, but should never be used on wooden pipes.

Scrubbing and Scraping: For any type of pipe, you can use a scraping tool or sponges and fabrics to help dislodge and remove built-up nastiness. Pipe cleaners -- small, flexible pieces of metal usually covered in an absorbent fabric -- are made specifically for this purpose.
